My Bookshelves

What do I like to read? Just about everything.
For now I just have a few links to some favorites.
The Beverly Cleary Home Page
Judy Blume's Official Web Site
Cyber-Seuss
The Madeleine L'Engle Fan Homepage
The Roald Dahl Home Page

This is sort of a difficult thing for me to try to do. A webpage about my books. I'm sure you're thinking that my bookshelves must look like the children's library. I wish. These are just the books that I know I'll always come back to.

So begin spring semester '99, and I don't have anything new to report since this summer. hmpf. it's been a slow winter break. i reread some things, like A Separate Peace by John Knowles. One of my all time favorites from high school. And hey, Knowles went to Yale. What more canya ask for.
Another classic that i'll never stop coming back to is Patricia Highsmith's (as Claire Morgan) The Price of Salt. I don't know why I like it so much, but I do.

Oh, I did take a sort of Russian history/culture class this semester, and I read a bunch of great Russian lit. My favorite I think was Nikolai Gogol. The rest were pretty impressive too, of course.
As for now and until the semester starts kicking my butt, I fully intend to get into Fannie Flagg's newest, Welcome to the World, Baby Girl!, Barbara Kingsolver's newest, The Poisonwood Bible, and John Irving's latest, A Widow for One Year.
Happy New Year, and wish me luck!
